The SEC is filled with some great college towns. But how many of those are the best in their respective state?

Well, not every SEC school can have the best in its state, as each one is not in a different state. But according to data collected by reviews.org, there are plenty of SEC schools that are the best college towns in their respective state.

This is how reviews.org explained the process for figuring out the best college towns, once narrowing the list down to cities with fewer than 250,000 residents:

“Using data from United States Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, we analyzed overall population, student population, rental costs, college education rates, transportation access, unemployment rates, and bar availability. From there, we narrowed it down further by weighing cost of living, unemployment rates for 20–24 year olds, and easy access to the city.”

Here’s a look at the map, courtesy of reviews.org, of the best college town in each state in the country:

This indicates that the following SEC schools have the best college towns in their state:

  • Alabama — Tuscaloosa, Ala.
  • Arkansas — Fayetteville, Ark.
  • Florida — Gainesville, Fla.
  • Georgia — Athens, Ga.
  • Kentucky — Lexington, Ky.
  • Tennessee — Knoxville, Tenn.
  • Texas A&M — College Station, TX

Seven out of 14 isn’t bad. But it is worth noting that Ole Miss and Mississippi State both lost out to Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, Miss.) in its state.
