The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have their new starting quarterback, signing legend Tom Brady away from the New England Patriots.

Now, it appears Jameis Winston is in need of a new team, but his old team seemed to take one last parting shot at him.

In their press release announcing the Brady signing, they included the below paragraphs, pointing out how many interceptions Winston threw compared to Brady:

Brady replaces Jameis Winston as the Buccaneers’ starting quarterback, with Winston also becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time. In his fifth and final season at the helm in Tampa Bay, Winston threw for 5,109 yards and 33 touchdowns but was also intercepted 30 times, with seven of those returned for touchdowns. Winston was the first player in NFL history to throw 30 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions in the same season.

In contrast, Brady tossed 24 touchdown passes and just eight interceptions last season and has never been picked off more than 14 times in any season.

That isn’t exactly the greatest sendoff for Winston, who will search for a new starting job, or a backup spot if he can’t find that.

We’ll see where he ends up for the 2020 season and how Brady ends up faring in Tampa Bay.
