The SEC usually doesn’t travel west of Texas for bowl games (barring trips to the Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl on occasion), but that will change starting in 2020.

Per a report from Stadium, the SEC just landed its first standing bowl affiliation against a Pac-12 foe.

The report states that the Las Vegas Bowl and Belk Bowl will now switch off between having a Big Ten team and an SEC team:

Beginning in 2020, the Las Vegas Bowl will annually feature a team from the Pac-12 against a team from the SEC or Big Ten.

All other SEC bowl affiliations will stay the same, though there is some reshuffling between games that feature Big Ten and ACC opponents.

Las Vegas will be fun to have in the bowl-game rotation for the SEC, though we’ll see how well teams travel to Sin City.
