College Football News predicts final records of every SEC team
This is the time for preseason best-guesses, and College Football News has published its predictions for each SEC team.
The staff has LSU winning the SEC West and Tennessee claiming the SEC East. Alabama comes in second and Ole Miss third in the West. In the East, Georgia is second and Florida third.
Here are the complete predictions for each SEC program in alphabetical order:
Alabama Crimson Tide: 10-2
Arkansas Razorbacks: 8-4
Auburn Tigers: 6-6
Florida Gators: 8-4
Georgia Bulldogs: 10-2
Kentucky Wildcats: 6-6
LSU Tigers: 11-1
Mississippi State Bulldogs: 6-6
Missouri Tigers: 6-6
Ole Miss Rebels: 8-4
South Carolina Gamecocks: 5-7
Tennessee Volunteers: 11-1
Texas A&M Aggies: 7-5
Vanderbilt Commodores: 3-9
What a joke!!
I think Ole Miss and Texas A&M have very similar chances. They could go 7-5 if things go bad, or 11-1 with a little luck.
@aggierider your right hell I think that aTm will pull some kind of upset who knows Knight plays like I think he’s gonna play they might be in contention for the West .
I see no joke, looks pretty accurate
Auburn’s going 15-0!!!! suckas!
Reverse that then sure.
LMAO…. ummm. Riiiiiiight.. their first mistake was picking LSU to win the West, then they picked UT to win the East?
I’m going to Vegas
Not trying to rattle any cages here, but just out of curiosity – who do you believe will take the East and West?
I guess this is a mistake but I got LSU and UT
Yeah, craziness picking the two most experienced teams to win their divisions….what are they smoking, huh?
Just an FYI, Tennessee has the 3rd longest active winning streak going in CFB and their four losses last season were by a total of 17 points. With essentially everyone coming back, why would it be a mistake to think Tennessee could win 11 or 12 games?
Their win streak is over Missouri, North Texas, UK, Vandy, SC and Northwestern……powerhouses.
Exactly !! And again another weak schedule, they should win a minimum of 8 or 9 with that,. Their are 4 good teams in the west that could go 8-4 or
11-1 ole miss, bama, lsu, Auburn Maybe A&M, in the East 2 Florida or Tenn, Tenn only because they should with that schedule, Maybe Georgia. , just my humble opinion
I doubt that UGA will get 10 wins maybe 9.
Alright CFN somebody has to catch this fade who wants it first
I think Georgia has the talent most years to go to the SEC championship, but in Kirbys first year as a head coach, I have a hard time believing they will win 10 games. 9 I could believe. And maybe I’ve just been conditioned to the past 10 years of Tennessee football, but I also see them as a 9 or 10 win team. Same with LSU, but thats because Harris is still such a wild card no matter what anyone says. But what do i know, obviously Ole Miss will go 15-0 this year.
Maybe so with Harris. Terry Bradshaw has been working with him and the Mannings have gotten his foot work corrected. To me, it is a wait and see.
Y’all have the talent, thats for sure. It’s got to be a little intimidating for Harris to know that a lot of what happens to LSU this year is on his shoulders. The great QBs thrive with that responsibility, so I’m interested to see what the kids got.
He doesn’t have to do it all, and I’m sure he knows it. He has a great team around him. Any improvement at all should be good enough.
Someone needs to rank the media outlets by bias, click bait, and authenticity. Georgia get’s a vote of confidence here. That’s interesting. I can’t wait until Missouri and Auburn flip conferences.
You should like this prediction. I think your Hogs will struggle to reach 6 wins and I like the Hogs best of all the west teams. And I like your coach but I think it’s going to be very hard to replace all the talent y’all lost.
And they won’t flip Auburn and Mizzou. UT and bammer will always play every year as will Aub and bammer.
Sorry I know the Kool Aid is strong with UT this year and people will jump on me for being a UGA fan. UT isn’t going to play Florida (going for 12 in a row), @UGA, @Texas A&M, and Bama all in a row and end the year 11-1. That’s just not happening. They may beat UGA, but my guess is if UF beats them in Knoxville UT will be deflated going on the road to Athens and if they beat UF they may be unfocused. Either way UF and UGA back to back is an emotional ride and Sumlin should have a heck of an offensive team ready to play at home vs the Vols. Follow that up with Bama in Knoxville and you can easily see this. UT may have the most “experience” but that schedule stretch does them zero favors. Now let those who think I’m just an irrational UGA shill commence…
Tennessee: 11-1? Lol.
UT will have 3 losses before they get a bye.
