The College Football Playoff selections are in.
Michigan is the No. 1 seed, Washington is No. 2, Texas is No. 3 and Alabama rounds out the field at No. 4. Undefeated Florida State sits at No. 5 and Georgia plummeted to No. 6 after the SEC Championship loss.
It was one of the most controversial selections since the Playoff began in 2014, and no matter what the committee decided, fans and media would have their disputes.
Many SEC fans believe Georgia should have edged its way into the Playoff despite the loss, while Florida State fans were shocked to see the unbeaten seminoles fail to reach the Playoff.
Following the selection show on Sunday, fans and media reacted to the committee’s decisions.
Florida State literally could not have done more to deserve a chance at the Natty

1. Alabama damn near lost to Auburn
2. Georgia was tied with Auburn until there was three minutes left in the game
3. Bama and UGA combined to beat Auburn by a total of 10 points
4. Auburn got smashed by New Mexico State 31-10
5. No SEC team belongs in the CFP

At the end of the day this came down to the fact that the CFP committee dosent want 200,000 angry alabama fans with free time on their hands to start looking up addresses and storming statehouses

Anyway, my biggest beef with the CFP selection process is that we leave the decision in the hands of a room of semi-random people with clear conflicts of interest, allowing legitimate skepticism for whatever decision they make
