The updated college football rankings, including the AP Top 25 and the coaches poll, will likely not be released until Tuesday due to opening weekend having games on Sunday and Monday nights. We will keep readers updated with new college football rankings as they are released.
We’ll update these results as we get the results for the Sunday night Oklahoma vs. Houston game and Monday night’s Notre Dame vs. Louisville game.
What’s coming next week? Some great games – bigger than the week 1 games, frankly – including no. 12 Texas A&M vs. no. 1 Clemson and no. 6 LSU vs. no. 10 Texas. How these games play out will shape much of the rankings moving forward this season including some initial factors for late season College Football Playoff rankings.
