What the college football world is saying about the SEC
The SEC generates a lot of buzz nationally, from haters attempting to troll the best conference in college football to lovers praising everyone from Commissioner Mike Slive to Nick Saban and the league’s cast of characters.
Between the play on the field, the press conferences of Les Miles and Steve Spurrier and the offseason shirtless antics of Bret Bielema, it’s a very media-friendly conference when you think about it.
Each week, we’ll make the rounds nationally to see what fans, analysts and other experts are saying about the SEC. Let’s go.

In case anyone didn’t notice this weekend was rough for supposed elite SEC West. UGa crushed AU. Mizzou beats TAMU. Ark over LSU. Not pretty

Tennessee up 30-3 in the 2nd Qtr. 5th win with Vandy still to come. Vols looking like they’re bowl bound!! @UTCoachJones doing a great job!

If I’m a Bama fan I’m pulling hard for Mizz over A&M in the 2nd half. Mizz can’t beat Bama, Georgia can but obviously won’t be favored.

Most underrated true freshman DL in the country: #Vols DE Derek Barnett. In 6 SEC games, he’s made 15.5 TFLs and 9 sacks.

SEC champ or Pac-12 champ with 2 losses would have to get serious consideration. If UCLA were to win out, would have worthy playoff resume.
