Coastal Carolina continued its magical season with a big win over Georgia Southern on Saturday, and the Chanticleers celebrated in WWE fashion.

In a celebration that was highly choreographed, Coastal Carolina enjoyed a 28-14 win over its Sun Belt rival, complete with a “Georgia Southern Eagle,” a wrestling referee using an actual bell to ring in the action, and an opponent jumping off of a ladder to land on the Eagle. It was so thoroughly produced that it was obvious the Chanticleers had worked on this one for a while.

All of that came after backup quarterback Fred Payton threw three touchdown passes as Coastal Carolina won its first game as a ranked team with a 28-14 victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday.

The No. 25 Chanticleers (5-0, 3-0 Sun Belt Conference) played without starting passer Grayson McCall, who had an upper body injury, according to the Associated Press.

Coastal outgained Georgia Southern 382-218 and held the Eagles to 2-of-12 on third down with two interceptions, six tackles for loss and four sacks.
