DFS Picks of the Week: Our top Underdog plays for college and NFL, Jan. 6-8
By Adam Spencer
Published:
DFS season may be winding down in college football, with only 1 game left for the season. That’ll be played on Monday night, when Washington and Michigan square off for the College Football Playoff title.
The NFL regular season is coming to an end this weekend, as well, but the full playoff schedule still looms large between now and February!
Our DFS experts — Andrew Olson and Adam Spencer — make some final college football picks for the season and also tune up for the playoffs with some Week 18 NFL selections on Underdog.

Our College Football Playoff Picks
Adam Spencer
Rome Odunze, Washington: Higher than 89.5 receiving yards
While Michigan has an elite defense, the Wolverines were shredded by Marvin Harrison Jr. in The Game to the tune of 5 catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. If you look at Odunze’s numbers from the 2023 season, he had more catches and yards (and only 1 fewer TD) than Harrison. Odunze should be good for 100+ receiving yards on Monday night.
Blake Corum, Michigan: Higher than 103.5 rushing yards
Washington’s run defense is atrocious. Blake Corum is one of the top running backs in the entire country. He will be the biggest key to this game. If he goes off, Michigan will win. If Washington can somehow hold him to under 100 yards, the Huskies should claim the title. We’ll take Corum to go for 104+ yards on the ground in this one, win or lose.
Our Week 18 NFL Picks
Andrew Olson
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: Higher than 280.5 passing yards
While some teams are sitting their stars, Dallas will be full-go as the NFC East gets decided Sunday afternoon. Dak and Co. for the division title? Yeah, here we go. I think last week’s strong showing carries over against a defense he already dominated once this season.
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Higher than 233.5 passing yards
Mayfield was hurt in the Week 17 loss to the Saints, but there’s no way he’s missing a matchup against the Carolina Panthers with so much on the line. A QB facing the team that released him with the chance to lock up a playoff spot? I’m all over this deeply personal pick.
Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons: Higher than 82.5 rush + receiving yards
Bijan has burned me before this season, but his recent numbers (touches and yardage) are encouraging, and he had a solid outing against the Saints not too long ago. The Falcons are still in the playoff picture, but a mess at quarterback. I’m banking on Bijan being a big part of the offense.

CJ Stroud, Houston Texans: Higher than 257.5 passing yards
The Texans and Colts both have a lot to play for in this game. The winner should make the playoffs, either as the AFC South champion or a wildcard squad. The loser will most likely be sitting at home this playoff season. Give me Stroud to put the finishing touches on his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign with a big Saturday night performance against Indianapolis.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers: Higher than 248.5 passing yards
If the Packers win this game, they’re in the playoffs. They faced this same scenario last year and Detroit played spoiler, sending Green Bay home. This year, Jordan Love won’t let that happen. Against the rival Bears, look for Love to throw for 249+ yards as he does all he can, even with a banged-up receiving corps, to get the Packers to the postseason. He also has a financial incentive to win. If the Packers make the playoffs, Love earns a $500,000 bonus. Not too shabby!
Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Higher than 97.5 receiving yards
Hill needs 248 yards to break Calvin Johnson’s single-season receiving yards record. I expect him to give it a go. Miami needs this game to lock up the No. 2 seed, and the Bills need this game to make the playoffs at all. I think this will be a big-time game on Sunday night and Hill should be a lock for 100+ yards.
