On Saturday night, the No. 1 team in the country — Tennessee — went down in blowout fashion at Kentucky.
That leaves a void in the top of the rankings, as the Vols will likely drop when the new AP Poll comes out this week.
For those who are doing their own rankings, like ESPN’s Dick Vitale, the Vols are indeed dropping. As you can see below, Dickie V has both Tennessee and Kentucky in his “Super 7,” with the Wildcats at No. 4 and the Vols at No. 5:
After a wild hoops Saturday my Super 7 will be 1 DUKE 2 GONZAGA 3 VIRGINIA 4 KENTUCKY 5 TENNESSEE 6 NEVADA 7 MICHIGAN !

These two teams will meet up again on March 2, this time in Knoxville, so we’ll see what happens in the rematch.
For now, though, the Vols will have to work to get back on top — not an impossible task, considering they still only have two losses, both of which came to top-5 teams.
