Drayk Bowen, a 5-star and No. 1 LB recruit for 2023, names 6 SEC schools in top 12
Drayk Bowen is a name to watch for the 2023 recruiting class.
Bowen, from Merrillville, Indiana (Andrean), is the No. 1-rated linebacker recruit in that class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 25 player nationally. He recently named his top 12 schools out of a reported 25 offers, and listed Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina and LSU among a list that included Michigan, Notre Dame, Indiana, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Clemson.
From this group, Bowen has visited every campus outside of N.C. State, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.
“Hopefully by the end of fall I will have visited all of them,” Bowen told 247Sports, adding there isn’t much of a pecking order within this group. “I’m still trying to build the relationship with the coaches. I’m keeping it open. I haven’t narrowed it down and I’m really interested in all of them and will go from there.”
I want to thank all the coaches who have taken the time to recruit me and build a relationship with me and my family.
With that said, it’s time for me to begin to focus the schools I have a high interest in both athletically and academically. pic.twitter.com/b93Vhr8Z3q
