EA Sports is doing its part to help make dreams come true for the prospects that won’t be able to attend the 2020 NFL Draft.

The NFL is moving ahead as scheduled when it comes to the 2020 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to be held Thursday, April 23, 2020, through Saturday, April 25, 2020. While the official details of the draft have yet to be released, like the location of the draft and how and where NFL teams will be conducting their draft rooms, the league has announced there will be no fans in attendance and draft prospects will not be invited to the event.

That’s got to be disappointing for a number of players that have dreamt about taking the stage after hearing their name called and greeting NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell following their first-round selections but EA Sports is stepping up to at least make those moments unique.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, EA Sports plans on creating virtual moments for prospects featuring their walk out on to the draft stage to greet Goodell.  The virtual moments are also being created with input from players. For example, EA Sports plans to make the interactions unique regarding whether a draft prospect would hug the commissioner or simply shake his hand.

For allowing EA Sports to use their likeness, each draft prospect will be given $2,500 in grant money to donate to their high school football programs.

The 2020 NFL Draft will be unlike any before it but at least now, thanks to EA Sports, some players will get to have their moment on stage in a roundabout way.
