Eastern Kentucky player injured in Lexington shooting

Scary situation to report from Lexington as Eastern Kentucky football player Cameron Catron was reportedly shot outside of a bar last weekend.

The redshirt sophomore is a native of Belfry, Ky., and appeared in two games last season for EKU.

According to a report from WKYT, Catron was seriously injured following a fight outside of Two Keys Tavern in Lexington. According to police, there was a late-night fight outside a bar that resulted in Catron being shot. The suspected shooter remains at large.

Catron has had to undergo two surgeries following the shooting in an attempt to remove the bullet and repair damage as a result of his injuries.
