ESPN, FOX Sports detail broadcast plans amid coronavirus outbreak
The outbreak of COVID-19 has shut down every major sports league and has canceled several college tournaments this month.
With no sports on, what do the 24-hour sports networks like ESPN’s family of networks and FOX Sports do?
Well, it looks like it’s going to be a long month of old programming. According to John Ourand of Sports Business Journal, ESPN plans to air SportsCenter all day, with radio shows dominating the other networks:
ESPN Programming plans:
ESPN: SportsCenter all day and night
ESPNEWS: video simulcasts of radio shows (First Take, Your Take Radio and The Will Cain Show) and taped programming
ESPN2: simulcast a combination of ESPN and ESPNEWS.
