In the world of FBS football, you don’t have much time to turn a program around when you’re hired as a head coach.
Sometimes, you only get 2 seasons, especially when they’re as tumultuous as Steve Addazio’s 2 years at Colorado State.
Per ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg and Chris Low, Addazio has been relieved of his duties in Fort Collins:
#ColoradoState coach Steve Addazio is out, sources tell me and @ClowESPN

Addazio went 3-9 in 2021 and finishes his 2-year stint at Colorado State with a 4-12 overall record.
He also dealt with accusations of mistreatment by players and criticism of his late-game clock management. He was recently ejected from a game, too.
Who Colorado State hires next remains to be seen, but Addazio’s time in Colorado Springs has reportedly come to an end.
