Fired 'Last Chance U' coach Jason Brown tries to explain 'I'm your new Hitler' text in 3-page statement
Um, yeah, there’s a lot to unpack in that headline, so let’s just dive right in.
A few weeks ago, Jason Brown — the coach of Independence Community College, which was featured on Netflix’s “Last Chance U” — resigned after a text to a German football player on his squad went viral. In the text, Brown said “I’m your new Hitler,” which is obviously a problematic thing for anyone to say.
Over the weekend, Brown released a long, three-page statement in which he essentially tries to bash the player’s character to show why he shouldn’t have been forced to resign:

That explanation is unlikely to help Brown’s case, but we’ll see. For now, he’s still out as the team’s head coach, and trying to throw a player under the bus (with some pretty serious accusations) is not likely to help him land another job.
