Florida A&M has made a commitment to upgrade its athletics department and this fall, the Rattlers will begin play as a new member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

The Rattlers have announced future games with Florida and Georgia alongside multiple other games with Power 5 opponents, the school announced. Florida A&M will face the Gators on Oct. 11, 2025, and Georgia on Sept. 9, 2028.

Vice President and Director of Athletics Kortne Gosha released the slate of future non-conference football opponents which is designed to raise the profile of the department and continue to enhance the Rattler brand on the national stage.

“This schedule of opponents falls in line with my scheduling philosophy as Vice President and Director of Athletics. We want to provide our student-athletes and fans with an opportunity to see our teams compete against the best in the country. We also want to make sure that we are providing much needed financial support to the program while putting our student-athletes in the best possible position to be successful, Gosha said. “These games are very important to our success as a department, and we are fortunate to be in a position to work with colleagues at these institutions to schedule these games and we look forward to competing at a high level for many years to come.”
