The Cocktail Party won’t be played at either Georgia or Florida’s campus anytime soon, a report from AP said on Sunday.

According to the report, the 2 teams are exploring other neutral site venues for 2026 and 2027 when Jacksonville is expected to renovate EverBank Stadium, where the game is typically played.

Administrators from Georgia and Florida are planning to let cities with NFL stadiums bid on hosting the game. In 2026, the game would most likely be played at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and it would move to Florida the following year, with Camping World Stadium (Orlando), Raymond James Stadium (Tampa) and Hard Rock Stadium (Miami) as possible locations.

The 2 teams have met in Jacksonville every year besides 2 since 1933. There was a 2-year hiatus in 1994 and 1995 when the Gator Bowl was being renovated ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars first season. Those 2 years, the games were played in Gainesville and Athens in a home-and-home matchup.

Saturday’s meeting between Georgia and Florida saw the Bulldogs rout the Gators 43-20. The matchup has been somewhat even all-time, but the Bulldogs have dominated the last 3 meetings.
