Former Georgia quarterback Faton Bauta was named the starter at Colorado State Monday.

Bauta was a graduate transfer from UGA and is eligible to play immediately. He came off the bench during Friday’s 44-7 loss against Colorado and completed 6 of 9 passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. Bauta also added four carries for 39 yards.

Bauta made his first career start at UGA last year against Florida. He was intercepted four times on the way to a 27-3 loss to the Gators.
