Greg Sankey went for blood during Georgia’s championship parade in Athens on Saturday.

Sankey went up to the podium to congratulate the Georgia Bulldogs after their dominating 65-7 win over TCU in the CFP National Championship.

During his speech, Sankey put in an obviously negative remark on former B1G commissioner Kevin Warren, who left to become the team president of the Chicago Bears on Jan. 12.

Sankey spoke of college football and sports needing leaders while slamming Warren:

“We need leaders today in college football and college sports and not leaders who make a stop to build a resume and go on to do something else but those who understand the problems that are real and demand our attention,” he said.

Warren served as the commissioner of the B1G for 3 years. Before becoming the commissioner of the B1G, Warren was previously the chief operating officer for the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2019.

Sankey has been the commissioner of the SEC since 2015 after being the associate commissioner since 2002.
