Greg Sankey weighs in on differences between Mizzou and Mississippi State NCAA cases
The Missouri Tigers are facing a one-year bowl ban from the NCAA, but their tutor scandal sounded a lot like the one Mississippi State just had, for which the Bulldogs only received probation and scholarship reductions.
Many fans are confused by the difference in penalties for the two schools, but Mizzou is still appealing the NCAA decision.
Ahead of Saturday night’s Week 0 opener between Florida and Miami, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey spoke about the differences between the two cases:

Sankey seems to acknowledge that the Tigers were punished more harshly than they perhaps should have been, but the appeal is still out there. We’ll see if the NCAA, as the Tigers want them to do, #MakeItRight.
For now, the waiting game continues for the Tigers.
