Heisman Watch, Week 13: It’s Bo Nix vs. Jayden Daniels for the Trophy

The Heisman countdown appears to be a 2-man race between Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels, and it’s going to come down to team success vs. individual stats. Not an easy selection.

Here is a look at the current Heisman odds and how the current top 10 contenders performed in Week 13…

1) Bo Nix, Oregon Quarterback

Week 13 results: 31-7 win over Oregon State

Week 13 stats: 33/40 passing for 367 yards, 2 touchdowns, 6 rushes, 31 yards, 1 touchdown

Overall stats: 315/401 passing for 3,906 yards, 37 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 47 rushes, 159 yards, 6 touchdowns

One big number: Nix closes out November with nearly 1,600 passing yards and 19 total touchdowns.

2) Jayden Daniels, LSU Quarterback

Week 13 results: 42-30 win over Texas A&M

Week 13 stats: 16/25 passing for 235 yards, 4 touchdowns, 11 rushes, 120 yards

Overall stats: 236/327 passing for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 135 rushes, 1,134 yards, 10 touchdowns

One big number: Daniels pulled off the double-double (200 passing yards, 100 rushing yards) for the 4th time this year.

3) Michael Penix Jr., Washington Quarterback

Week 13 results: 24-21 win over Washington State

Week 13 stats: 18/33 for 204 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interceptions, 2 rushes, negative-9 yards

Overall stats: 280/427 for 3,899 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 25 rushes, negative-14 yards, 3 touchdowns

One big number: Penix threw multiple touchdowns for the 10th game this season.

4) Carson Beck, Georgia Quarterback

Week 13 results: 31-23 win at Georgia Tech

Week 13 stats: 13/20 passing for 175 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 4 rushes, 24 yards

Overall stats: 268/370 passing for 3,495 yards, 22 touchdown, 6 interceptions, 51 rushes, 128 yards, 3 touchdowns

One big number: Beck closed out his season passing for his lowest yardage total all year.

5) Jalen Milroe, Alabama Quarterback

Week 13 results: 27-24 win at Auburn

Week 13 stats: 16/24 passing for 259 yards, 2 touchdowns, 18 rushes, 107 yards

Overall stats: 158/238 passing for 2,526 yards, 21 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 126 rushes, 339 yards, 12 touchdowns

One big number: Milroe had 100 rushing yards for the 2nd time this year.

6) Blake Corum, Michigan Running Back

Week 13 results: 30-24 win over Ohio State

Week 13 stats: 22 rushes, 88 yards, 2 touchdowns

Overall stats: 202 rushes, 976 yards, 22 touchdowns, 11 receptions, 72 yards

One big number: Corum finishes the regular season with just 2 100-yard games but multiple touchdowns in 8 of them.

7) Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State

Week 13 results: 30-24 loss at Michigan

Week 13 stats: 5 receptions, 118 yards, 1 touchdown

Overall stats: 67 receptions, 1,221 yards, 14 touchdowns, 2 rushes, 26 yards, 1 touchdown

One big number: Harrison topped the century mark for the 8th time this year.

8) Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma Quarterback

Week 13 results: 69-45 win over TCU

Week 13 stats: 24/38 passing for 400 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 interception, 7 rushes, 36 yards, 1 touchdown

Overall stats: 266/384 passing for 3,660 yards, 30 touchdowns, 6 interception, 93 rushes, 373 yards, 12 touchdowns

One big number: Gabriel finished the season on a high note, topping 400 yards for the 3rd time this year.

9) Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State Running Back

Week 13 results: 40-34 win (2OT) over Oklahoma State

Week 13 stats: 34 rushes, 166 yards, 5 touchdowns, 4 receptions, 10 yards

Overall stats: 245 rushes, 1,580 yards, 20 touchdowns, 33 receptions, 272 yards, 1 touchdown

One big number: Gordon rushed for a career-high 5 scores.

10) J.J. McCarthy, Michigan Quarterback

Week 13 results: 30-24 win over Michigan

Week 13 stats: 16/20 passing for 148 yards, 1 touchdown, 4 rushes, 17 yards

Overall stats: 191/257 passing for 2,483 yards, 19 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 51 rushes, 181 yards, 3 touchdowns

One big number: Low yardage once again, but McCarthy did hit 80 percent of his passes for the 5th time this year.
