Kirk Herbstreit continues to say Alabama’s the best team in college football if it wins out, but he still has four other teams ranked ahead of the Crimson Tide in his latest best guess at Tuesday’s Playoff rankings.

Joining his elite group this week is TCU, a convincing winner over Kansas State on Saturday, its fourth victory this season over a ranked team. The Horned Frogs are third behind Mississippi State in the top spot and Florida State at No. 2.
Alabama, fresh off its overtime victory at LSU, was in the three-hole during Herbstreit’s appearance on SportsCenter early Sunday morning before Oregon beat Utah. He put the Crimson Tide fifth after the Ducks’ win.
