Two SEC West teams in Kirk Herbstreit's top four
One-loss Oregon’s back in Kirk Herbstreit’s top four this week after a crushing win over Washington, but he still likes SEC unbeatens from the Magnolia State taking two of his first three spots heading into Week 9.

Ole Miss improved to 7-0 Saturday night with a dominant defensive performance against Tennessee, accumulating nine sacks and four turnovers. It was the first time since 2011 that an SEC team failed to reach positive yards rushing in a game.
Mississippi State (6-0) was off and travels to Lexington on Saturday for a nationally-televised 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
My updated top 4 after this past week. 1..Mississippi State 2..FSU 3..Ole Miss 4..Oregon

Herbstreit says Notre Dame’s still in the thick of the hunt if the Irish win out following Saturday night’s 31-27 loss in Tallahassee.
Really impressed with this ND team. If they play like they did last pm they should finish 11-1 & be right in the discussion for the Final 4!
