It has been a tough few months for sports fans with suspensions and cancelations of seasons throughout sports leagues at all levels. For football fans, games on the gridiron are being played. The college football season officially kicks off Saturday with the FCS Central Arkansas vs. Austin Peay game on ESPN. High school football, meanwhile, continues to move forward in a spread out 2020 season. Some starts are just getting started while others are in Week 2 and Utah is moving into its third week.

Zach Barnett of Football Scoop compiled a list of the 20 states where high school football is being played (by at least some schools). ESPN is carrying a high school football game in Alabama: St. Paul’s Episcopal vs. Spanish Fort.

It’s not a complete high school football schedule in South Carolina and Texas yet as only private schools are playing in the Palmetto State and Lone Star State high school football is limited to Class 4A and lower.
