National Signing Day: How every recruiting service ranked the SEC's 2019 recruiting classes
National Signing Day is over, and Alabama signed its eighth No. 1 class in the last nine years. Amazing.
On the other end of the spectrum, Vanderbilt finished dead last in the SEC per 247Sports and Rivals. The Commodores were also the only unranked recruiting class in ESPN’s class rankings.
We’ve rounded up the recruiting rankings from each of the major services. With CBS Sports/247Sports acquisition of Scout.com, the site doesn’t produce its own rankings anymore. Please note the 247Sports rankings are not the composite rankings.

Why is no one congratulating LSU? Top CB, #2 RB, etc.
Those things happened in the early period. They definitely count, but folks seem more interested in what happened today. LSU did move up two spots over the past two days, so we still did well with what we added. Some seem more focused on the ones we didn’t. To each his own.
How’s the search going?
I just tried to post again where I essentially tried to compliment BAMA, UGA, LSU, A&M, TN, AUB etc. on great recruiting results. I’ve tried to comment about 6 or more times on recruiting articles and they are just not posting. WTH? Oh, and I also tried to say that UF is making progress and that I’m happy with the class and what Coach Mullen has done. No, I don’t think we are “back” yet – but taking good steps. Anyway, Cheers to our results!
Welcome to the logical bewilderment we all face that is SDS’ censoring standards. The more cohesive and well-structured your comment is, the less likely it is to get posted.
Sopsher was a big loss for them yesterday. After the loss at home to Bama this past season, Oregeron said they needed to get better in the trenches, and once again Orgeron lost an in-state DT to Bama in Sopsher.
He’s still one guy. He would have been a nice get for LSU, but LSU still pulled in 8 of the top 10 in the state. It was a very good LSU class.
Yeah, just referring to the position need (big, strong man in the trenches).
I haven’t followed their recruiting but it looks like Pruitt is doing pretty well at UT. Mullen has a lot of advantages but it’ll be interestsing to see how quickly Pruitt can rebuild.
2-3 more years
Give them 2-3 more years, and maybe they’ll be back to beating Vandy!
When Kirby came to town I think we all though 2-3 years but they got it going after just 1. UGA had the advantage of everyone else in the East trending down. Right now UT doesn’t have that advantage but I like their long term prospects more than UF or SCAR. They won’t have a roster as talented as UGAs but they are building a roster capable of competing and getting the better of UGA on any given Saturday.
Careful Matty Legenddoubledumbarse will disown you as an UGA fan. I agree except not sure about your Florida assessment and agree with oskie we are still 2-3 years away in all likelihood but it’s a good foundation being laid. Florida has a good coach, is in one of, maybe the most, fertile recruiting territories in the country and free shoes trending down so they could build a monster there. I think it will be UGA Florida and UT fighting it out again each year soon but in 19 it will be UGA and Florida most likely.
Kirby inherited a program that wasn’t in danger of dying. In fact, he had great recruits and developed players in place. Pruitt’s done well in possibly the toughest rebuild conditions. I think 6 is the floor for next season and 8 is the ceiling. Our starting lineup will be 5 true freshmen and a handful of sophomores, plus some juco guys. Still a ways to go.
Butch Jones proved you have to have good coaching to make top tier recruiting classes mean anything. That’s why the top schools keep getting the top recruits.
