SEC country doesn’t get a large number of blizzards, and just about all of it has spared by Winter Storm Elliott — for now, at least. Large portions of the country were set to experience a “bomb cyclone” that is dumping snow and heavy wind right before Christmas travel, while grounding flights and canceling several sporting events.

One of the areas affected by Elliott was Iowa, which received its dose of snow Wednesday and into the overnight hours of Thursday along with extreme cold. KWWL-TV, the NBC affiliate covering the eastern part of the state, enlisted sports reporter Mark Woodley to cover the conditions.

It’s safe to say that Woodley wasn’t exactly thrilled with being out in the cold, as you can see by the video:

According to his bio on the KWWL website, Woodley is an Eastern Iowa native who has had “several opportunities to cover bowl games, NCAA tournaments, NFL football, and the Stanley Cup playoffs” during his time with the station. Now, he can add weather to his resume.

Let’s hope that Woodley will receive a nice bonus check after having to stand out in the elements for so long.
