Jayden Daniels gave his perspective as to why the College Football Playoff committee picked Alabama over Florida State for the last spot in the national semifinals.

Talking with USA Today Sports, LSU’s star quarterback thinks the CFP committee made a business decision.

“I personally think, obviously, they kind of did it just because of, you know, ratings and viewership and stuff like that,” Daniels said.

FSU stuffed its resume with a 13-0 record and an ACC Championship crown. Chair Boo Corrigan cited the injury to Jordan Travis as a reason the committee moved the Seminoles down from No. 4 to No. 5 after reaching the 13-0 mark.

Daniels noted that losing Travis was a “huge deal” for FSU.

“It sucked knowing that, you know, they put in all that work and obviously you weren’t rewarded for it,” Daniels said.

Despite everything FSU has gone through this season, Daniels believes they’re still a “great football team.”

“(I hope) Florida State get what they deserve at some point,” Daniels said.

Daniels showed love for Travis as he deals with his injury and FSU being ousted from the CFP.

“Prayers out to Jordan and everything he’s going through right now,” Daniels said. “Obviously, he’s probably not in a good spot having to shoulder the blame and all the stuff like that. It’s not his fault. He can’t control stuff.”
