The Alabama Crimson Tide are a perfect 10-0 and would be big favorites over any other team in the country right now.

However, a tough game looms in Atlanta in December before the Tide would hypothetically play in the College Football Playoff, as they are set to take on Georgia in the SEC title game.

On Wednesday’s episode of “Lock It In” on FS1, FOX analyst Joel Klatt said there’s reason for the Dawgs to think they can upset the Tide:

“After last week, I think Georgia actually has a really interesting path to beating Alabama,” he said. “Remember now, Mississippi State is not very good offensively, so you can’t just say Bama’s defense is great because they shut out Mississippi State. Mississippi State can’t play offense out of a wet paper bag, OK?

“So you start with that premise and then you realize that any dominant, competent defense is going to at least have a chance to slow down and stop Alabama. If I’m Georgia, I’m looking at that film and saying I can hold Alabama to 24 points. And guess what? With D’Andre Swift healthy, I’m much better offensively than Mississippi State. So you can paint a picture if you’re the Bulldogs where you’re in a one-possession game in the fourth quarter. Alabama has not been in a one-possession game in the fourth quarter the entirety of this season.”

Indeed, it would be interesting to see how the Tide handled a close game, but there’s also a chance they never face that scenario.

The game against Georgia in Atlanta should be a good one, though, so we’ll see how that plays out in a couple of weeks.
