Joel Klatt isn’t very impressed with the SEC after eight weeks of the regular season.

The FOX analyst released his updated top 10 on Sunday afternoon and it features just one SEC program. Georgia cracked the list at No. 4 — three spots lower than where the Bulldogs appear on the updated AP Top 25 this week.

Alabama and Ole Miss both earned spots in Klatt’s group of honorable mentions. Two Big Ten teams, Ohio State and Michigan, are at the very top of Klatt’s ranking this week.

Here’s his full top 10:

In the updated AP Top 25 released on Sunday, Alabama appeared at No. 9 and Ole Miss landed at No. 12. The SEC has a total of 6 teams ranked in the poll this week as LSU, Mizzou and Tennessee also made the cut.

Georgia will still have its chances to impress Klatt and, more importantly, members of the College Football Playoff selection committee. The Bulldogs still have games remaining vs. Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee during the regular season. They would also presumably face a top-tier opponent in the SEC Championship Game if they’re able to get through that schedule.

Alabama could have an argument to be much higher up Klatt’s board following a big comeback win over Tennessee this weekend. The Tide’s only loss so far this year came against Texas early in the season. Alabama still has games remaining vs. LSU, Kentucky and Auburn in SEC play.
