Joel Klatt released his way-too-early top 10 teams list for the 2023 college football season directly following Georgia’s 65-7 clobbering of TCU Monday night.

No surprise, the Dawgs are on top, followed by 3 more SEC teams: Alabama at No. 4, LSU at No. 6  and Tennessee at No. 9. He included 5 “almost” teams following his definitive top 10 list.

Take a look for yourself.

That seems like a solid list to start things off. LSU and Tennessee are the 2 wild cards, with Alabama and Georgia almost guaranteed to be top 10. The Vols return a lot of key pieces as well, but will of course be without star QB Hendon Hooker, instead looing to backup gunslinger Joe Milton III.

LSU returns even more from last season (including QB Jayden Daniels, WR Malik Nabers and LB Harold Perkins, among many others) and will look to build off a strong first season under Brian Kelly, one that earned them a bid in the SEC Championship game against the Bulldogs. The Tigers also have a strong freshman class coming into the fold.

Start the long wait. The 2023 CFB season is just over 8 and a half months away!
