National Signing Day is less than a week away and, as always, there will be plenty of drama leading up to the first Wednesday of February.

The 2020 edition of National Signing Day takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 5 with several elite prospects still waiting to make their final decision when it comes to where they will attend college.

Two of the biggest unsigned prospects remaining heading into National Signing Day are a pair of five-star linemen from the South as Jordan Burch and Broderick Jones are keeping their respective recruitments very close to the vest leading up to Feb. 5.

Burch is rated as the No. 8 prospect in the nation by 247Sports Composite for the 2020 recruiting cycle while Jones is rated by 247Sports Composite as the No. 11 prospect in the nation.

Burch publicly announced his commitment to South Carolina during the Early Signing Period live on ESPN but never signed with Will Muschamp’s program. He has since visited LSU following the Tigers’ run to the national championship and is scheduled to visit Columbia the final weekend before National Signing Day.

Jones, on the other hand, has been a longtime Georgia commit but did not sign with the Bulldogs during the Early Signing Period, despite his commitment to join Kirby Smart’s program. Jones recently visited Athens officially and is set to officially visit Auburn the final weekend before National Signing Day.

In a recent Rivals roundtable discussion, recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt shared his predictions for each prospect come National Signing Day:

Expectations are for Burch to come up with a surprise because no one has assurances on what he is going to do, but I actually think he signs with South Carolina and keeps it pretty straightforward. The highest-ranked prospect left in the class is who I am looking at for some Late Signing Period fireworks. Broderick Jones is committed to Georgia, but I think he pulls the switch and ends up with Auburn.

That’s the news South Carolina and Auburn fans want to hear but we’ll have to wait and see if these recruitments actually play out that way in the days to come. If Burch and Jones are truly undecided at this point, their weekend visits could be huge when it comes to their final decisions.
