One of the biggest matchups of Week 3 involves the Tennessee Volunteers and Florida Gators.
The two rivals will square off in an SEC East showdown in Gainesville on Saturday afternoon in a game that many consider a must-win for both Tennessee coach Butch Jones and Florida coach Jim McElwain.
On Saturday morning’s episode of College GameDay, analyst Kirk Herbstreit discussed the game, saying he thinks the winner will be the team that manages to get the best play from its inexperienced quarterback.
The Gators will start redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks, while the Vols will counter with junior Quinten Dormady. Herbie doesn’t think it’ll be a high-scoring game, saying the biggest key will be holding onto the football, especially late:
“Whichever quarterback avoids the disastrous play in the fourth quarter, that team is going to win,” he said. “The first one to 21 (points) might win.”
Saturday afternoon’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on CBS.
