Kirk Herbstreit witnessed UCF dominate Cincinnati Saturday night 38-13.

Following the game, Herbstreit updated his top six teams following Saturday’s results, with the only change coming at No. 6 in the Pac-12’s Washington State. The Cougars replaced the Oklahoma Sooners, who also won but gave up 40 points to Kansas.

No. 1 Alabama dominated Citadel 50-17, while No. 2 Clemson put it on Duke 35-6. When everyone was talking potential upset, No. 3 Notre Dame thumped Syracuse 36-3. No. 4 Michigan also dispatched Indiana 31-20.

What about UCF? Herbstreit said during the telecast that put aside Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia, UCF would be in that next group. However, Herbie ranked the Knights No. 7 behind Washington State.

In the midst of boos Saturday morning, Herbstreit doubled down on UCF’s Playoff spot, criticizing its schedule.
