According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Cobbins is a 4-star prospect and the No. 19 LB in the country for the class of 2024. He is also the No. 5 player out of Louisiana for the cycle. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Cobbins has the size and frame to develop into an impact defender.
Deion Sanders’ Colorado program was the most recent team to extend an offer to Cobbins on Jan. 17.
As for LSU, the Tigers are already off to a flying start in the 2024 cycle with 8 commitments, including a pair of in-state prospects. We’ll see if Cobbins elects to stay home or head elsewhere to begin his career.
