Lane Kiffin was asked Wednesday at the SEC’s final teleconference of the season to discuss the upcoming SEC Championship game between Georgia and Alabama.

The Tide and Bulldogs recently matched up in 2021 for the SEC title. Last season Georgia downed LSU to win the crown.

But who’s the better team between the 2? Kiffin didn’t answer that question, but did dive a little into the dynamic between the 2 top teams in the SEC.

Here’s what he had to say:

“Like I said right after the game, every game’s independent of each other. The days we played them, Georgia, I think everybody would say, was better,” Kiffin said. “But again that was a long time ago we played Alabama and they were still figuring out their quarterback and so I think Alabama seems to be, from what I’ve seen, playing pretty dominant lately as well.”

Alabama has indeed figured out their QB situation. Jalen Milroe has played very well since taking over early in the season, throwing for 2,070 yards with 16 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He’s been more impressive with his legs, rushing for 333 yards with 12 touchdowns this season.
