Lane Kiffin has finally put pen to paper on his rumored extension after leading Florida Atlantic to an 11-3 record in his first season in Boca Raton.

Despite signing on for an additional six years, his original deal with FAU was a five-year deal, Kiffin has not been given a raise for signing this deal with FAU. His contract with the program now runs until 2027 and will remain at $950,000 annually. By signing this deal, Kiffin now has a buyout of $2 million if he leaves the program at end of the 2018 season. His buyout decreases to $1.5 million after 2019 and $1 million by 2020.

Kiffin could potentially earn some wild incentives by signing this deal, however, they aren’t very realistic. For example, he earns $100,000 if FAU finishes a season ranked in the top 10. He could also earn a $100,000 bonus of FAU advances to the College Football Playoff and $1 million if FAU wins a national title under Kiffin.

Perhaps the best perk of signing this new deal for Kiffin? FAU has given him an annual membership to the Boca Raton Resort & Club, according to SB Nation.

Kiffin’s squad opens the season in Norman against defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma. If the Owls pull off a major upset Week 1, there’s no telling the shenanigans awaiting Kiffin at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.
