Academic counselor Brittany Wagner, a star and fan favorite of Netflix documentary series “Last Chance U,” was in the headlines Monday when it was reported that she was hired by a high school in Michigan. The details of the hire confused some of her followers on Twitter, and she decided to clear things up and reveal some other news.
Wagner was hired by Madison Heights Madison High School as a special academic consultant. While many assumed that meant she was moving to Michigan, Wagner clarified to her followers that while she is moving from Mississippi, it’s not to Michigan, but to Birmingham, Ala. Wagner launched her own company, 10 Thousand Pencils, LLC. (10KP), to work with athletes, schools and organizations. She will be doing consulting work for Madison Heights Madison High, along with many other schools, but 10KP will be based in Birmingham, according to the note shared below.
Wagner can be seen in the second season of “Last Chance U” which was released on July 21.
