Considering he lost his last two appearances in Jordan-Hare Stadium, including his final appearance as LSU’s head coach, you’d think Les Miles would have remembered how hostile Auburn fans can be to opposing teams. Apparently, he forgot last week, as he picked the Dawgs to stay undefeated and win at Auburn.

Miles was willing to admit his mistake this week on his Les Is More podcast while discussing Auburn’s big win over top-ranked Georgia. Here’s what the former LSU coach had to say following the 40-17 game.

“When you go back and realize what it’s like to play in Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn is a different team in Jordan-Hare. I should have recognized that,” Miles said on his podcast. “They rushed the ball against Georgia, which nobody has (this season).

“This was really the true blowout because Auburn’s defense stuffed Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Basically stopped their running game. They rushed it, they threw it and had their way.”

Miles also shared his thoughts on the upcoming Tennessee-LSU game and issued some support for UT interim coach Brady Hoke.

“They are saying LSU is a 14-point favorite, I think it could be a closer game than that,” he said. “I think Brady will do a great job mustering a great push, but I don’t think there’s any chance that Tennessee can beat LSU. I do recognize that Tennessee has talent and ability but I think they have to put it all together to have that kind of success against LSU. I’m picking LSU.”

He also provided his thoughts on the Texas A&M-Ole Miss matchup. Despite A&M’s performance against Alabama taking place over a month ago, that game appears to be burned into Miles’ memory.

“I’m picking the Texas A&M team. It’s at Ole Miss, that’s the advantage that Ole Miss has. Texas A&M has talent and ability, and they really played Alabama extremely well,” Miles continued. “They gave up some early scores but came back and were really in a position to tie the game and or win the game late in that contest. I like their ability. They have big-time talent.”
