Apparently, walking away from the millions of dollars that the Oakland A’s were prepared to hand Kyler Murray to play professional baseball still isn’t enough to convince some that the reigning Heisman Trophy winner is totally committed to playing football in the NFL.

You can count Tom Pelissero of NFL Media among those questioning Murray’s future plans. Pelissero is even willing to bring Murray’s father, Kevin, into the picture when discussing the prospects of the former Sooner quarterback being selected in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Not long after Pelissero shared a segment of his reporting on NFL Network, Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley responded with comments that basically neuter the issues Pelissero drummed up live on national television. Whether Riley is simply showing public support for his quarterback that’s currently in the middle of the lead up to the draft or if the NFL Network is manufacturing storylines to discuss in the offseason remains to be seen but it’s interesting that some are still calling out Murray despite the fact he could be making millions playing baseball right now.
