Jordan Burch has been a popular figure in SEC recruiting circles this recruiting cycle, and he’s pegged a decision date to announce his college destination — Dec. 19.

Burch is a 5-star defensive lineman for the Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina, and one of the most sought after recruits in this class. South Carolina coach Will Muschamp’s son, Jackson, is the quarterback for the Hammond team. Burch has 13 offers including the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina.

Burch is ranked the No. 1 player in South Carolina and the No. 1 defensive end in the nation, according to 247Sports profile. Burch is listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds.

About two months ago, Georgia coach Kirby Smart and Muschamp took in one of Hammond’s game together on the sideline.

The 247 Crystal Ball lists Clemson with a 62 percent chance of landing Burch, an “undecided” team at 25 percent and South Carolina at 12 percent.

One comparison for Burch is former Ohio State two-time All-American Joey Bosa.
