The NCAA Tournament selection committee revealed its preview bracket on Saturday — a snapshot of what the top 16 seeds in the Tournament would look like if the season ended today.

Purdue is currently viewed as the top overall seed with UConn, Houston, and Arizona also garnering No. 1 seeds. Three from the SEC were included, with Tennessee the highest ranked of the bunch.

The selection committee has the Vols sitting at No. 6 overall (a 2-seed) while Alabama sits at No. 9 overall (a 3-seed) and Auburn sits at No. 13 (a 4-seed). Both the Crimson Tide and the Tigers are right on the edge of moving up on the seed line.

Tennesse would be in the Midwest Region with Purdue. Alabama would be in the South Region with Houston. Auburn would find itself in a cluster of blue bloods in the West Region. This is what the bracket would look like:

Saturday’s reveal marks the only mock bracket reveal from the selection committee during the season. Selection Sunday takes place March 17.

At the start of Saturday, Alabama had a half-game lead atop the SEC. The Tide rolled past Texas A&M, 100-75, to move to 10-2 in conference play and put the gap between them and second at a full game. Alabama still has two games against Florida, a game at Kentucky, and a home contest with Tennessee on the docket before the regular season comes to a close.

Tennessee (18-6, 8-3 SEC) closes out its regular season with four consecutive games against ranked opponents — Auburn at home (Feb. 28), Alabama on the road (March 2), South Carolina on the road (March 6), and Kentucky at home (March 9).

Auburn (20-5, 9-3 SEC) hosts Kentucky on Saturday. The Tigers have a much lighter schedule, with two games against Georgia (4-7 in league play) and one against Missouri (0-11).
