Nick Saban discusses challenges of facing Arkansas QBs Austin Allen and Cole Kelley
Arkansas QB Austin Allen was unable to finish last weekend’s game against South Carolina due to a shoulder injury.
Now, the senior’s status is in question for Saturday night’s trip to Alabama to take on the No. 1 Crimson Tide.
On Wednesday, Alabama coach Nick Saban said it will be tough to prepare for the Razorbacks, because prepping for Allen is much different than planning for backup QB Cole Kelley:
Saban on Austin Allen playing or not: It depends on the style QBs play. Allen can make all the throws. 2nd guy is a diff style, more QB runs

Saban: We don't know if they'll change styles if he plays at QB. We can't figure it out. We may have to adapt in the game.

In fact, Saban added that he thought the 6-7 Kelley was originally a Wildcat quarterback and tight end, as the 268-pound redshirt freshman is indeed built more like a tight end or offensive lineman:
Saban on Arkansas backup QB Cole Kelley: "When I first started watching the film I thought he was a Wildcat/tight end-type player."

That does indeed make it tough to prepare for the Hogs, but Saban is one of the best at making in-game adjustments.
