In two consecutive weeks, we’ve seen two No. 1s go down with stomach-churning injuries.
Last week, Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell suffered a horrific leg injury on a potential game-winning play in the end zone.
A week later, Auburn leading receiver Duke Williams went down with an apparent knee injury after being hit low on a crossing route.
Late Saturday night, Treadwell tweeted his best wishes to Williams, who likely will be out for the remainder of the season, though no news of the severity of Williams’ injury has been disclosed.
