The Power Rank is back with another round of SEC projections.

If you are unfamiliar with the Power Rank, it’s the creation of Stanford Ph.D. graduate and analytics expert Ed Feng. Feng uses his system to predict outcomes in professional and college sports.

The Power Rank does not project games against FCS opponents, yet it accurately predicts winners over 73 percent of the time.

The system went 2-3 predicting SEC games during Week 4.

Here is how The Power Rank predicts the Week 5 action to play out in the SEC:

  • Kentucky will beat Missouri by 0.1 points in Columbia. The Tigers have a 50 percent chance of winning this game.
  • Auburn will beat Ole Miss by 9.3 points in Oxford. The Rebels have a 25 percent chance of winning this game.
  • LSU will beat South Carolina by 19 points in Baton Rouge. The Gamecocks have a nine percent chance of winning this game.
  • Alabama will beat Tennessee by 21.2 points in Knoxville. The Volunteers have a seven percent chance of winning this game.
