Alabama has been the best team in the SEC through the first six weeks of the conference’s 2020 season, and it’s among the best in the country this year. The Crimson Tide could be heading to the College Football Playoff after missing it last season.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise then that Alabama leads the way on Pro Football Focus’ latest list of its highest-graded SEC players at each position this season, as five Crimson Tide players have the top marks at their position. That includes redshirt junior quarterback Mac Jones, who is among the Heisman Trophy favorites this year.

In addition to Jones, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, center Landon Dickerson, defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis and cornerback Patrick Surtain II are included on the list.

Although Alabama leads the way, there’s representation from several other conference schools on the list as well, including Kentucky, which has three players with top grades.
