The Las Vegas Raiders signed a former SEC player to their practice squad while releasing another from it.

Defensive end Gerri Green was inked to a contract on Tuesday, the team announced. Green was with Mississippi State from 2015-2018, totaling 160 tackles, 20.5 tackles for a loss and 8.5 sacks. His best season came as a junior in 2017 when he recorded 38 tackles, 11.0 stops for a loss and 5.0 sacks while adding 3 forced fumbles.

Meanwhile, former Ole Miss standout Breeland Speaks was released from the Raiders’ practice squad. Speaks notched 61 tackles and 8.0 tackles for a loss as a redshirt junior in 2017 while recording 7.0 sacks, and was a 2nd round pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. He was waived by Kansas City in September before signing with Las Vegas’s practice squad on Oct. 2

The Raiders take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at 4:05 pm.
