Did refs save Clemson from possible upset in ACC Championship Game?
With a minute left in the ACC Championship Game and down eight points, North Carolina kicked and retrieved an onside kick. The result would have been North Carolina ball with a minute left, down 45-37. However, the refs called offsides and made UNC kick again.
Clemson recovered the second attempt and went on to win the game.
As the broadcast analyzed the call, it was obvious that the refs blew the call. Have a look at the North Carolina squad at the moment of the kick. Clearly, no one was offsides:

Clemson finished the season as ACC Champions with a 13-0 record. They will likely retain the No. 1 ranking in the College Football Playoff seeding.
