Report: Matchups for 2019-20 SEC/Big 12 Challenge are now set
Last year, the Big 12 won the annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge by a narrow 6-4 margin. The SEC has won only once in the six-year history of the event, with one tie.
This year, the matchups are now reportedly set, and it should be another fun showdown between two of the top basketball conferences in the country.
As you can see below, college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported the matchups for the challenge this winter:
Sources: Matchups for next season's SEC/Big 12 Challenge are set.
Kentucky at Texas Tech
Tennessee at Kansas
Baylor at Florida
Mississippi St at Oklahoma
Missouri at West Virginia
Oklahoma St at Texas A&M
LSU at Texas
Iowa St at Auburn
Kansas St at Alabama
TCU at Arkansas— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) July 23, 2019
The Big 12 only has 10 teams, so that means four SEC squads are left without an opponent. This year, those teams are Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia and South Carolina.
Like every year, this should be an exciting challenge, especially that Tennessee/Kansas matchup. We’ll see if the SEC can pull off a win this winter.
