Report: NCAA passes ban on off-campus spring break practices
Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines will no longer be able to take a spring break trip to SEC country for practices.
After heading to IMG Academy last year, Harbaugh and his squad will have to make other plans this spring.
On Friday, the NCAA voted to ban off-campus practices outside of the actual football season:
Proposal to prohibit off-campus practice during a vacation period outside of the season (i.e., Michigan at IMG) PASSES, 58-22.

So, in other words, the NCAA just legislated no more trips to Florida for Michigan spring practice.

The proposal received quite a bit of support, too, passing easily with a 58-25 vote.
No longer will Harbaugh and his coaching staff be able to practice around some of the nation’s top recruits. Of course, it wasn’t just Michigan using this loophole in the rule, but now no one will be able to do what the Wolverines did in 2016, again leveling the playing field in college football.
